Hybrid OR Expands Level of Care

Memorial Hospital made the multimillion-dollar investment in 2013 with the construction of the Hybrid OR. The specialized surgical suite allows multiple specialists to combine imaging services and surgical procedures in the same space at the same time.

The investment is paying off for the betterment of patients.More and more complex surgical procedures are now performed at Memorial rather than having to be done at hospitals in Chicago or Indianapolis because of the team approach and technology, says Gerard Duprat, M.D., of Beacon Medical Group’s Vascular Interventional Radiology.

This more advanced approach to surgery has meant safer and more efficient care that is producing great patient outcomes.
