clinical excelence

No matter where you are in life

We’re ready for you. We call this level of care and awareness Clinical Excellence. What does that look like? It means … providing critical care at two trauma hospitals in Michiana… experts performing minimally invasive surgeries … caring for your kids and grandkids at the areas’ only comprehensive children’s hospital. It is the dedication of 7,000+ staff and physicians providing quality service through eight hospitals and 150+ care sites across seven counties and two states.

Beacon Health System invests resources in training doctors, hires nurses with expertise, and keeps up with the latest equipment and technology. We participate in national and statewide safety initiatives such as the national Hospital Improvement Innovation Network. Reporting is an important tool in our safety efforts, because it leads to learning, which guides us to improved practices. And we are a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. All of these external indicators keep us focused and on track. But our true measure of success is the health and happiness of you, our patient.

Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency

As the larger health care system evolves, we believe our residency program plays a part in addressing the health care needs of our community and beyond. Our students are offered numerous hands-on learning opportunities. There are curricular and fellowship options that allow each resident to stay focused on their goals while having the chance to expand their training.

In 2018, our nationally renowned Memorial Residency was recognized by the ACGME for fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment for its residents by receiving the DeWitt C. Baldwin Jr., Award. With only two such awards given in the country annually, this confirms that we’re a place where you can thrive at work! Find out more about Memorial’s residency program.
