The second Beacon associate in six weeks was just featured on NBC’s Today Show.  

Chad Walter, who works in Elkhart General’s Cath Lab, was highlighted on the TODAY Show June 12 along with his teenage daughters to share about the challenges of raising them by himself. His daughters submitted a video that illustrates the courage and strength of their father after his wife died from cystic fibrosis. As part of the Father’s Day surprise, the TODAY Show gave Chad and his daughters an all-expense paid trip to a resort in Washington.

Memorial 12 South Nurse Linda Mochel was highlighted on May 7 as part of the TODAY Show’s “Mom’s the Word” contest. Linda was chosen from more than 800,000 nominations from across the country. In addition to the shock of the TODAY Show crew and all 10 of her children waiting at Memorial’s main entrance, Linda was given a new Ford Fusion Hybrid.
