Your Care Team

When you turn to Beacon Health System mental and behavioral health care, your team members will work together and with other specialists as needed to give you the care you need. Our team members are trained and experienced in working with people with mental health disorders and their families.

Your team may include:

• Psychiatrists – Specially trained in diagnosing, preventing, treating and managing mental health disorders
• Psychiatric nurse practitioners – Provide a variety of mental health services in collaboration with a doctor
• Psychiatric nurses – Trained to work with patients with mental health needs
• Social workers – Treat people with mental, emotional and behavioral health conditions and help people find needed resources
• Recreational and occupational therapists – Use exercise and recreational activities to improve physical, mental and emotional well-being
