Kidney Health
Kidneys play a major role in our overall health, everything from filtering our blood and removing waste and excess fluids, to controlling blood pressure and keeping our bones strong. Keeping them working at a high level is important.
Yet, 1 in 3 American adults is at risk for kidney disease. To protect yourself from kidney disease, be sure to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, quit smoking, reduce salt intake and limit alcohol use. At Beacon, we use a multidisciplinary approach for kidney health that includes nephrologists (physicians trained in kidney health), interventional radiologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists (physicians trained in hormone health) and other key individuals trained on slowing and managing kidney disease.
