The Journey to “Be a Beacon”
An exciting, interactive, thought-provoking and downright fun new learning tool will be rolled out Beaconwide over the coming months. “Be a Beacon” is an interactive learning experience that will help associates move from being focused on the task, to being focused on the moment.
Why are we doing this?
Because the art of communicating, to our colleagues and patients, is the most critical element in improving patient satisfaction. By providing these valuable tools, we’ll be better able to provide exceptional experiences
everywhere, every time. And it starts with each of us.
So, what is it exactly?
Be a Beacon is online learning that consists of six fast-paced courses that will capture your attention quickly and leave you wanting more.
Available through Net Learning and on all mobile devices, learners can access the program from a PC or mobile device anywhere, anytime. You can go at your own pace, stopping and starting when it’s convenient for you. It’s
interactive, engaging and easy.
And best of all, it’s taught by our very own associates. You’ll learn from your own colleagues about how they stay focused and purposeful in their work. Manager-led gatherings and workshops are built into the learning to help us apply our new knowledge and bring this online learning to life. The learning will be divided into six engaging categories.
BE WELL
Learn how to focus on you, so that you can take care of everyone around you.
BE PRESENT
Learn to focus your thoughts and energies on the here and now. Your undivided attention and care shows patients that their safety and comfort is your top priority.
BE CARING
Your caring spirit shines in everything you do. Learn tools that will ensure your compassionate nature speaks through all of your actions.
BE HEALING
Everything we do and say throughout the day can create a healing environment. Learn to harness this healing power to change lives for the better.
BE PURPOSEFUL
It’s easy to get wrapped up in all the tasks that make up our day. Learn to place purpose and intent in even the most ordinary tasks.
BE EXCEPTIONAL
Learn to infuse excellence and value into each of your actions. By choosing to be exceptional, we’re choosing the best possible outcomes for our patients.
“Be a Beacon” learning will roll out over the next few weeks, and will be available all year long for associates to access anytime, anywhere.
