Keeping Women Healthy

Thanks to all of the Beacon Health System physicians and associates who made the Beacon Health Pavilion at the Michiana Women’s Show in March a success! Many women received free health screenings and valuable information from our team, including:

• 80 kidney screenings
• 56 breast exams
• 200 nonfasting blood glucose checks
• Approximately 200 blood pressure checks

Special guest celebrity chef Aaron McCargo, Jr. prepared a delicious meal onstage, bringing his own creative and energetic genius to entertain the crowd. Aaron has a special interest in preparing dialysis-friendly meals and often posts recipes on his Facebook page (Chef Aaron McCargo Jr.).
