Free Services for Life’s Obstacles
Everyone needs help from time to time – whether it’s legal advice, housing assistance, financial counseling, transportation help or counseling services. Beacon Health System is now partnering with Michiana Bridges, a nonprofit organization that provides associates free assistance to access free or low-cost services. Once you contact Michiana Bridges, the information you share with them is confidential and will not be shared with Beacon.
Michiana Bridges can help with:
• Housing: Utilities, mortgage refinance, repairs, foreclosure prevention
• Transportation: Finding a place to get car repairs, access to public transportation, ride shares
• Families and Relationships: Child care, elder care, counseling services
• Financial: Loans, credit reports and counseling
• Legal: Court assistance, legal advice
• Education: Career counseling, getting your GED, getting a copy of your GED
• Health: Addictions, mental health, physical health, insurance, prescriptions, dental
• Necessities: Food, clothing and emergency funds
Artie Estridge, Resource Navigator at Michiana Bridges, will be available for you to visit at Memorial Hospital every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon in the Medical Staff Education office on the first floor across from the Medical Library. She will be at Elkhart General every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon in the basement near elevator A. These services are available to all Beacon associates.
