Dr. Dean Ornish, creator of the highly popular Ornish’s Program for Reversing Heart Disease available at Elkhart General and Memorial Hospital , came to Michiana in early April to hear first-hand stories of how heart disease is being undone thanks to his program. The nine-week program, led by a dedicated Beacon team, brings people together to exercise, prepare healthy meals, practice stress management techniques and in group discussions.
