The Memorial Hospital Police Department strengthened its presence with the addition of newly sworn-in Assistant Chief Karl Karch, along with officers Thomas Hixon and Kevin Andert, Jr., on July 7 on the Memorial campus.

This marks the largest group of officers sworn in at one time since the department’s inception in August 2014 and brings the police department to the full staffing of 10 sworn officers.

Memorial became just the second hospital in Indiana to form its own police department –– a move that creates and maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Thank you to all of our police officers and security officers for your dedication to keeping us safe.
