Kids are not just little adults – they have unique needs, and from infants to children, adolescents and teens, we know kids. Our team is specially trained in the medical care of children, and our facility is specially equipped for little bodies.
Beacon Children’s Hospital is the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital. We welcome and treat children from 31 referring hospitals throughout southwestern Michigan and northern Indiana.
Our History
From a simple pediatric unit to an advanced regional children’s hospital serving thousands of children across North Central Indiana and Southwestern Michigan – that’s the story behind Beacon Children’s Hospital.
In 2011, Memorial Hospital affiliated with Elkhart General Hospital and came under the umbrella of Beacon Health System to expand access to care throughout our region. These two accomplished medical legacies have delivered exceptional and compassionate care for more than 100 years.
Today, Beacon Children’s Hospital serves as a regional destination for critically ill and injured children in the area.
