School Nursing

The Federal Government requires equal access to education for all students regardless of their physical, mental or emotional circumstance.  This presents many challenges for a school corporation when it involves the education of children who have medical needs. Our Licensed Nurses and Health Aides are fully trained in the medical management of school aged child and can ease the burden and liability often placed on school principals and secretaries when they are required to administer students medication, give medical treatments, triage health issues, provide first aid or perform medical crisis intervention.

Our School Nursing program provides on-site clinicians to provide all of these services. This helps school corporations reduce risk management liability, and students are less likely to miss unnecessary days of school due to unmanaged health issues.
