Cristy Green, R.N., and the staff from Beacon Medical Group Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists-South Bend have once again knitted winter hats for patients at Memorial Children’s Hospital. More than 100 hats, knitted by staff and their family members and decorated with such characters as Mickey Mouse and snowmen, were delivered to Memorial Children’s Hospital Dec. 12.
Drs. Meng and Mitra, along with Family Nurse Practitioner Daniel Tom, sport the handmade hats.
“It’s great to have everyone come together to support this effort and hopefully it puts smiles on kids’ faces,” says Cristy.
The amazing hat-knitting effort was teamwide: Deb Marozan, Jennifer Nothrop, Lana Matthews, Ronda Jones, Judy Locsi, Lyn Kazmierzak, Heather Martin, Denise Burkland, Lori Irons, Darlene Smith, Cindy McIntyre and Doneata Vaughn all helped with knitting this year.
Great job to everyone at Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists-South Bend for brightening the holiday for our smallest patients!
