Dr. Michelle A. Thompson is a family medicine doctor in South Bend, Indiana and is affiliated with Memorial Hospital of South Bend. She received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Michelle A. Thompson has expertise in treating inpatient dementia, stroke, anemia, among other conditions – see all areas of expertise.
Holly Farmer received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1990, her Masters of Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 1992, and she is a licensed mental health counselor. She started her career as a clinical counselor for a community outpatient mental health agency and then joined Center for Hospice Care as a bereavement counselor eventually directing their bereavement department for the last 9 of her 21 years there. She joined Beacon Children’s Hospital as their Parent Support Coordinator in September 2022 after having been a volunteer with the NICU since 2009. She presented nationally at the annual symposium of the National Alliance for Children’s Grief in 2007 and 2011 and internationally at the Palliative Care Association of Uganda Conference in 2015 and 2017. She regularly presents locally on loss, grief, and trauma. She is a member of the Beacon SHINE program, is a Welle trainer, and she chairs the Beacon Children’s Hospital Patient & Family Advisory Council.
