Surrogate Healthcare Decision Makers: An Ethical and Medicolegal Discussion

Dr. Kerr received his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his family residency at Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka and his hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Kerr is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Kerr chose to specialize in palliative medicine to fulfill his passion to provide comprehensive supportive care and assistance to patients and patient’s families facing both life altering and terminal illnesses.
