My Hero is…

letter-my-heroPeri, a fourth grader at Cornerstone Christian Elementary in Vancouver, Wash., submitted the letter of thanks above as part of a school project in which students were asked to write about a hero in their life. The letter, mailed in fall 2013, was addressed to “Doctors and Nurses at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.” Peri expressed her appreciation for the exceptional care provided by the medical and nursing staff during the time her mother was in Memorial’s Intensive Care Unit while being treated for an infection. Peri also praised the Memorial staff for their help in treating a family friend who was struck by a car while on a bike. Thank you to all our dedicated Associates for being heroes.
