New Beacon Benefits

post-benefitsWith the New Year comes new Beacon benefits! Below are several new key benefits in 2014. For more information, call Patty Tomaszewski at 574.647.7901 or  ptomaszewski@beaconhealthsystem.org.

Tuition Reimbursement:

 Tuition reimbursement is increased to $2,500 per calendar year for Associates who work 35 or more hours per week and $1,250 per calendar year for Associates who work between 16 to 34 hours per week. Tuition Reimbursement generally reimburses courses taken through recognized and/or accredited vocational schools, trade schools, secondary schools, colleges or universities. Additionally, such costs as books required for the course, technology fees, activity fees, lab fees, nursing clinic fees, etc. is reimbursed.

Certification Reimbursement:

Associates who have costs associated with the pursuit of educational goals and/or professional development will be eligible for $300 per calendar year as reimbursement for certification exam costs. Associates must work 16 or more hours per week to be eligible.

Adoption Reimbursement:

Associates who work 20 or more hours per week, and have been employed by Beacon Health System for 12 consecutive months prior to the finalized date of the adoption, may be eligible for financial assistance of up to $500 per legally adopted child. Actual expenses must have been incurred during the adoption process.

Lunch and Learn sessions are free to all Beacon Associates, made available through the New Avenues Employee Assistance Program. All sessions run from noon to 12:30 p.m. at both Elkhart General and Memorial  Hospital. Bring your lunch.
