5 Forgotten Benefits

There are plenty of great benefits available to Associates at Beacon Health System.  In fact, there are probably some benefits you don’t know about, but that okay because we’re here to help.

1. PTO = Cash

This program allows Associates with significant vacation or PTO balances to convert earned, but unused, time into cash. Non-Union Associates have the option to buy back 20-80 hours in any month of the year, up to 80 hours per year. Completed forms must be submitted prior to the first of the month for the Buy Back request. Union Associates can request to buy back by submitting the request in the prior year, and can buy back up to 40 hours per calendar year. Union Associates should refer to the Union contract for additional information. All Buy Back request forms are available on the Human Resources website. 2. Cell Phones:

Discounts are available for new and current cell phone customers through AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and more! Visit the Benefit Hub website at https://beaconhealth.benefithub.com/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2f. If you are a new user, click on “Create a new Account”, enter referral code 822XS7, confirm your email, then click “Get an Invite”. Questions? 3. Retirement:

Beacon offers up to a 4-percent match for eligible Associates who contribute to Beacon’s 403b/401k Retirement Savings Plan. Visit https://www.trsretire.com/webportal/beacon/index.html today to start saving towards retirement, view your current savings accounts or to increase your contribution. To be eligible for the 4-percent match, you must have worked a full year and work 1,000 or more hours in the year, and be at least 21 years of age. 4. Life Insurance:

Non-Staffing Associates who are part-time or full-time (non-union) are provided free life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost. Premiums are paid by Beacon. You can view your current insurance amount by logging into PeopleSoft and accessing Current Benefit Summary page.

5. Counseling Services:

Employee Assistance Program or EAP is a short-term counseling benefit for you and your immediate family members provided at no cost. Things like marriage/family problems, divorce, substance abuse, anxiety or workplace concerns can hurt you. The EAP is there to help you manage these and other personal problems.
