Puppy Love

Patient Care Assistant Christopher Gaines didn’t think twice when he heard a family was in need. When Georgia native Larry was injured while working on his truck on the Indiana Toll Road, he had to leave his dog Roxie behind in the truck cab while he recovered at Memorial. Christopher drove out to the truck, and brought the dog home to live with his family while Larry was in the hospital.

“I just thought it was a simple thing I could do to help someone out,” says Gaines. “If something ever happened to me far away from home I hope someone would do the same for me.”
