Beloved Statue Makes New Home at Memorial

Dozens of Memorial Epworth School of Nursing alumni gathered recently to celebrate the move of the iconic nursing statue to Memorial Hospital’s lobby. “It’s so nice to see her face-to-face!” said Kathy Van Lue, secretary of the alumni board. Created by artist David Layman, the nearly life-sized bronze depicts a nursing student from the 1900s.
