Hip-Hip Hooray!
For associates like Jordian Cooper who want to enhance their skillset, it helps to have education programs like Beacon’s School at Work (SAW). SAW is a six-month program for associates who’ve been out of school for a while, those looking to go back or those just wanting to hone their skills. The program, which expanded to include Elkhart General Hospital this year, also helps associates to explore health care
career opportunities. In addition to covering reading, writing, grammar and math, SAW focuses on developing personal/work skills including communication, career planning, goal setting, time-management strategies and coping with stress.
If you are interested in learning more about the next SAW sessions in 2016, contact the SAW coach, Katie Wirebaugh, at KWirebaugh@beaconhealthsystem.org.
