Mark of Improvement
Elkhart General has a tradition for wanting to make things better – a keen focus on improvement that is celebrated every year at the Quality Expo. Staff comes together to celebrate all the improvements in the areas of quality, safety, cost, timeliness, experience and engagement by creating displays that highlight their outstanding work.
“Magical Kingdom of Quality,” which featured boards inspired by all things Disney, was the theme of the 21st Quality Expo on Dec. 4. A committee selected the following individuals for notable achievements:
2015 Winners:
• Eric Knapp, DO, for his work contributing to the bariatric surgery program
• Meaghan Hopkins from Radiology for helping to educate her department
• Tammy Hayes from Rehabilitative Therapies for improving the timeliness of treatments

• Pam Goddard-Dunfee from Surgical Services for improving engagement and leadership over the Surgery Expansion Project
• Pam Sandy from Ambassador Services for enhancing the engagement of the volunteers and the experience of our patients
