An EGH Great Retires

Greg Losasso, the highly respected and talented president of Elkhart General Hospital, retired earlier this month after 40 years in the world of health care.

Greg, who was on medical leave as he continues his course of treatment, retires from Beacon Health System with a long list of significant achievements.

In 2011, his leadership was instrumental in bringing Memorial Hospital and Elkhart General together to create Beacon Health System. Perhaps his most significant accomplishment was celebrated several weeks ago with the opening of the Elkhart General Surgery Center, the hospital’s single, largest expansion in its history.

His leadership abilities, knowledge, passion and strength of character will be missed. Greg is in good spirits and appreciates how much he enjoyed building relationships with team members, medical staff and the community.

He extends best wishes for everyone at Beacon to continue to lead in compassion, quality and innovation.
