New Digs for Beacon Medical Group
Beacon Medical Group’s administrative and support offices have consolidated and are now operating under the same roof at 710 N. Niles Ave., South Bend, just to the north of the Memorial Epworth Center campus.
The relocation, which took place with its initial phase the first week in February, fulfills the need for a central location and accommodates future growth for the region’s largest physician group.
This first phase brings with it 100 associates who provide support in Finance, Medical Records, Scanning, Coding, Auditing and other functions. More BMG departments could be added over time in the 24,800-square-foot facility formerly used by Madison Center and Oaklawn.
The closeness to the Epworth Center and Memorial Hospital campus will maintain connectivity to other branches of Beacon, while remaining a central location between BMG’S Elkhart County and LaPorte County offices. Administrative offices were previously located in One Michiana Square in downtown South Bend while support services were operating at 2020 Industrial Parkway in Elkhart.
In preparation for the move, flooring and walls were added, along with other interior renovations and a new parking lot. Beacon will also share the parking lot across the street next to Sunny Italy Café.
