Fitness Olympics Coming Aug. 5
Beacon Health & Fitness will celebrate the 2016 Summer Olympics by challenging members to its own version of the Olympic games. Each day members can try a new and exciting event. Grab a friend and get moving for a chance to win prizes and maybe even take home a gold medal! This is a free event. New Exercise Class for Neurological Conditions
A new specialty class, NeuroH2O, begins July 19, and is specifically for people with neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s, stroke, neuropathy and cerebrovascular accident. Participants will perform exercises in the warm water therapy pool designed to improve cognition, balance, endurance and flexibility. The class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:45 p.m.
Best Medicine Programs
Joint Venture: An exercise program for arthritis patients, and the CLIMB program, designed for those with Parkinson’s disease, begin the week of July 18. Join these 6-week sessions for $59. Interested participants should contact Sarah at SStrefling@BeaconHealthSystem.org or 574.647.2654.
