Nurses Rock! DAISY Award Winners in 2016

We have so many amazing nurses at Beacon Health System! To celebrate the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day, the DAISY Award is given quarterly to nurses at Elkhart General and Memorial. The DAISY Award honorees personify dedication to exceptional patient-care experience.

First quarter recipients of the DAISY Award at Elkhart General:

This year Memorial has recognized 16 nurses for the prestigious DAISY Award, 10 of whom were the recipients of the first DAISY team award.

Second quarter recipients of the DAISY Award at Memorial:

Lauren Rose, MSN, RNC, Childbirth Unit

Judy Luccki, RN, Short Stay

The team award was awarded to a group of nurses, who helped save a woman’s life in OB in 2015. That team consisted of Jessica Davis, RN, Main OR; Tricia Mears, RN, Floats; Becky MacDonald, BSN, RNC; Emilee Foster, BSN, RN; Devin Devereaux, BSN, RN; Megan Sellers, BSN, RNC; Dione Ganser, MSN, RNC; Jen Delio, BSN, RNC; all from OB, Nicki Walls, BSN, RNC; Mother Baby Unit; and Krista Noble, BSN, RN, who was the house supervisor that night. This team award was given to them during the Spirit of Nursing awards in May.

The DAISY Award is given to a nurse who demonstrates exceptional, compassionate care. Three recipients are selected every quarter at both Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital.
