All Aboard!

For the second year in a row, a group of Beacon associates built a cardboard boat for the United Way of Elkhart County Cardboard Boat Race. And yes, it was a success!
Lee Herschberger, Tom Johnson, Terry Powell, Bob Hostetler and Pam Sandy helped construct the vessel. Lee and Travis Skora then rowed the boat to a fifth-place finish out of 17 boats in their final race.
As much fun as it was on the water, there’s also the fact it is part of a larger effort to support the Beacon Lives United Campaign. Help create better lives in our local communities by giving to the campaign. It ends Sept. 23.
