Ronald McDonald House “sneak peek”
It has been a long time coming and we cannot wait to share the new House with all of our friends within Beacon. So get out your calendar and save the date!
A special open house will take place Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. just for Beacon employees.
You are invited to stop by at any point to tour the amazing new 15,000-square-foot facility and enjoy some treats baked with love by RMHC volunteers.
Start your tour on the third floor of the Skyway Building. You’ll then also have a chance to walk through the second floor, which houses all of the bedrooms. This new Ronald McDonald House will serve as a home-away-from-home for families whose children are receiving care at Memorial Children’s Hospital.
The new House will replace the 3-bedroom Ronald McDonald Family Room currently located on the third floor of Memorial Hospital of South Bend, and will have 20 bedrooms, a kitchen, pantry, kids’ playroom, laundry, showers, and so much more — all to ensure our families have access to the comfort and care they deserve.
“We are so excited to open this amazing new facility for the families in our community who need us the most,” says Becky Summers, President and CEO, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana. “This truly was a labor of love, and we are very grateful to Memorial Children’s Hospital for working with us on this incredibly meaningful project.”
