Prenatal Yoga
March 1, 8, 15, 22 and April 5, 12
Wednesday evenings, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., Nature Conference Room, Memorial Hospital Childbirth Center
Cost is $80.

Classes are taught by Sara Bolen, a master level yoga instructor and yoga therapist with a specialty in pregnancy. Come create some space for you and your baby with pregnancy yoga. The practice of yoga while pregnant can allow you to be comfortable in your body during this special time of growth and change.

This class will offer a variety of postures that will build strength and bring relief to some of the common discomforts that can occur with pregnancy. In addition to the postures, we will work with breathing and meditation. This will increase body awareness and assist you in creating a deeper bond between you and your baby.

The class will also give you a handful of pain coping strategies to take with you into your birth experience and give basic information on how to care for your body postpartum. A prenatal yoga experience offers an excellent opportunity to build community with other pregnant women in the area.
