Dr. Flynn, a Rockin’ Doc at Memorial
Described by staff members and patients as compassionate, caring and kind, orthopaedic surgeon James Flynn, 
MD, has many fans on 8 South, the Ortho/Neuro Unit at Memorial Hospital.
“Dr. Flynn may be newer to our department, but he is nevertheless amazing!” observes one of the unit’s team members. “He will go above and beyond for his own patients as well as the patients of other physicians he may be covering for when he is on call.”
Known for his positive outlook, Dr. Flynn takes his time and listens carefully to patients and their family members. “He always has a great bedside manner with his patients,” observes one staff member.
Among the many reasons Dr. Flynn is admired by the unit is his willingness to always help out when needed and the respect he shows toward everyone.
“Dr. Flynn understands there is no ‘I’ in team!” 
says one team member.
Another staff member observes, “He is always willing to work with staff to problem-solve and discuss the plan of care for patients. He is always a pleasure to work with and demonstrates the true meaning of teamwork every day.”
Dr. Flynn is a physician with integrity — when he says he will take care of something, it will get done. Professional and easy-going, staff members know they can approach him about any matter at hand.
