The Bergamot, comprised of husband-and-wife music duo Nathan Hoff and Jillian Speece, is now auctioning the Unity Car on eBay. The car is signed with messages of peace and unity from all 50 states.

Here’s a video of their recent interview on WNDU where they discussed how the money raised will go toward the Music Therapy Program at Beacon Children’s Hospital.

The eBay auction is scheduled to end May 26.

To celebrate National Fitness Month, free unlimited Jazzercise classes are available four days a week through the end of the month at the Loft in Elkhart General Hospital. Here are the times: 5:35 p.m. Monday, 4:30 and 5:35 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 7:30 and 8:20 a.m. Saturday, according to Cindy Perry, administrative assistant, EGH Nursing Administration.

Then there’s the Ideal Beach Triathlon and Kids Triathlon, 10K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk on Saturday, June 10. “This is a great family event and a great way to enjoy some exercise,” says Kim Greising, Director of Oncology at Elkhart General. “Ribbon of Hope Cancer Support Ministry provides many services to our cancer patients at Elkhart General Hospital.”

If you’d rather watch some baseball, you’re in luck.

Beacon Night at the South Bend Cubs is set for June 16.

The baseball game starts at 7:35 p.m. but gates open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be live music by the Innovators. The cost is $7 per ticket, which includes a voucher for one hot dog and a soda. And there will be fireworks after the game.

The Martin’s Lobby at Elkhart General now can be reserved for events, similar to the way reservations were made at the Bistro Lobby, says Lisa Yontz, executive secretary at EGH.

Dr. Dale Patterson recently made a trip to the State House in Indianapolis to be the “Physician of the Day.”

The Memorial Hospital Police Department recently graduated two officers from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. With the addition of Ben Stayton and Ben Norton, the number of sworn officers has grown to 12.

“We are looking to send additional officers to the academy this fall,” says Craig Whitfield, Chief of Police and Director of Security and Parking Services at Memorial.

Dr. Vincent Henderson, Beacon Medical Group President, reports the recent addition of a new practice.

The BMG Center for Pelvic Health and Gynecology, located at 707 N. Michigan St., Suite 102, is led by Dr. Carlton Lyons, FACOG, FPMRS. Dr. Lyons is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been providing these services since 1991 in the Michiana area. Additional providers at the practice include Erinn Fuller, PA-C, and Elizabeth Schalliol, RNC, WHNP. Kim VanOverberghe is practice manager and Scott Leigh is executive director.
