Hey Doc, You Rock! Dr. Thomas Sutula
Described as someone who gives meaning to the expression “the art of medicine,” Dr. Thomas Sutula serves as an inspiration and model physician to others.
A graduate of the Memorial Family Medicine Residency himself, Dr. Sutula dedicated over two decades to the program as a faculty member, teaching and mentoring hundreds of residents throughout the years. His encouragement of resident physicians to follow their dreams continues to positively shape and guide their careers.
And although he is officially retired from the residency program, Dr. Sutula still teaches residents through his work at two local extended care facilities and the Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center.
Colleagues, staff members and residents admire Dr. Sutula’s knowledge, patience, kindness, compassion and work ethic. When it comes to patient care, he not only takes the time to listen carefully, but he also “explains things in an easily understandable way and goes far beyond what is expected.”
Plus, Dr. Sutula’s well-known and much-appreciated sense of humor helps make even the hardest days a little easier.
Everyone agrees that Dr. Sutula is the epitome of a Rockin’ Doc, setting a high bar for himself and the medical profession.
“Dr. Sutula is the type of man you want as your physician and colleague. He gives 100% of his heart, soul and mind to patient care and is truly a gem in this time of changing health care.”
