Stop the Bleed training could save a life
Nobody expects falls, car crashes or other life-threatening emergencies to happen.
But those people injured can die from blood loss within just five minutes — even before an ambulance or emergency teams arrive. Would you know what to do as a bystander?
By learning three simple steps to quickly stop blood loss, you can help save a life during an emergency situation.
You’ll learn those steps during Stop the Bleed, a one-day event designed to train you how to respond — and even save a life — during an emergency situation like those we described. The Memorial Trauma Team will lead the two-hour sessions.
Lifesaving training is for everyone
Designed for the general public, Stop the Bleed is a FREE, hands-on training course for learning quick bleeding control skills. Led by professionals from Beacon Health System and Memorial Trauma Services, you’ll learn how to use your hands, dressings and tourniquets for bleeding control.
