“It is so rewarding,” Memorial couple agrees

Myrna Marcus spent her entire adult life working in the medical field.

“So it seemed like a natural progression to volunteer in a health care setting,” she says about volunteering at Memorial Hospital.

“It is so rewarding to see the thankful look of gratitude on the faces of family members when they find out their loved ones will be OK after surgery,” Myrna says.

“I also enjoy working in the ambassador office, as I like computer work,” she adds.

Her husband, Gary, also volunteers at Memorial Hospital.

“I volunteer at Memorial Hospital because I have always been people centered,” Gary says. “The volunteer position in escort allows me to help people, which is what I enjoy doing since my retirement.”
