Sharing humor and positivity at Memorial

Teddy Bjork is no stranger to Memorial.

So when he wanted to volunteer somewhere, he looked no further than the hospital where his mom, Janelle, works as an ultrasound tech.

“Even though I’m not interested in going into the medical field, I’ve been in and around hospitals my entire life,” Teddy says. “I love to be able to share some humor and positivity, or even a good attitude, with people who aren’t necessarily in the best place in their lives.”

He has especially appreciated learning from the other volunteers.

“My favorite moments have to be interacting with all of the other volunteers who have a few extra years of life experience than I do, and hearing their stories and advice about life,” Teddy says. “I enjoy taking what they tell me and applying it as a volunteer and in my day-to-day life.”
