Eye on Health: Elkhart General’s new technology has improved lung cancer screening

Elkhart General Hospital’s new Monarch Robotic Bronchoscopy platform allows Dr. Diego Heredia to view and biopsy lung growths faster and with less risk of complications.
The innovative technology also detects growths that are too small for a CAT scan to pick up, enabling earlier detection and treatment of lung cancer.
Doris Jones Baxter was relieved to learn that her lung growth was not cancerous, and she was glad that she didn’t have to travel to a larger city to find that out.
