As extreme heat continues this week across our region, it’s critical to monitor your children — especially babies, says Madison Parker, a nurse practitioner at Beacon Medical Group Pediatrics Main Street.
“Babies aren’t as adaptable to the heat change as adults. They get hot more quickly than we do,” she says. “So if you’re starting to overheat, it’s possible your baby has been overheating before you.”
