The Impact of Adverse Childhood Events
Research shows certain childhood experiences, like violence and abuse, are major risk factors for illness and a poor quality of life.
Robert F. Anda, M.D., M.S., Senior Scientific Consultant to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Co-Principal Investigator of the decades-long Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, will speak about the correlation between traumatic experiences in childhood and a variety of public health concerns. This event is free and open to the general public.
